What is PCOD ?

MTP involves a two-step medication process that induces a process similar to a natural miscarriage. It allows women to undergo the procedure in a comfortable, private setting while being monitored by medical professionals to ensure a complete and safe termination.

Legal & Safe: In India, MTP is a legal medical procedure under the MTP Act. It must be performed by a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) at a certified center to ensure your health and safety are never compromised.

The Procedure

Consultation & Ultrasound

A thorough clinical check-up and an ultrasound are performed to confirm the exact gestational age and ensure the pregnancy is within the uterus (ruling out ectopic pregnancy).

Step 1: The First Pill

The first medication (Mifepristone) is taken to block progesterone, the hormone that supports pregnancy. This stops the pregnancy from progressing further.

Step 2: The Second Medication

The second set of pills (Misoprostol) is taken, which causes the uterus to contract and empty. You will experience cramping and bleeding, similar to a heavy period, during this stage.

Follow-up Scan

A final follow-up visit is mandatory. A quick scan confirms that the uterus is completely clear and that no further medical intervention is required.
